The medical center, with a project cost of more than $130 million.
Tashkent is located in the north-eastern part of Uzbekistan, near the border with Kazakhstan. It is in the Chirchiq River valley and lies in the larger Tashkent Region.
Geographically, Tashkent sits in Central Asia, making it a landlocked city in a landlocked country. It is approximately 466 kilometres (290 miles) from the country’s second-largest city, Samarkand.
